Programme April - Sept 2012

Wed 4 April:  At 2 pm in the Village Hall:  Peter Welch will demonstrate water           colour painting.  Refreshments afterwards.

Wed 18 April:  Join us at 2 pm at the Village Hall to travel in shared cars for a walk in Ickworth Park.  National Trust admission charge may apply.

Wed 2 May:  At 2 pm in the Village Hall: Joy Willis will be our speaker on “North    American Indians”.  Refreshments afterwards.

Wed 16 May:  Outing to Fairhaven Gardens and Ranworth (Norfolk) with boat trip on The Broads.  Leaving Barton Mills at 10 am and returning about 6.15 pm.

Wed 6 June:  At 2 pm in the Village Hall: we hope to have a speaker from the Animal Health Trust at Kentford.  Refreshments afterwards.

Wed 20 June:  Meet at 2 pm at the Village Hall to travel in shared cars for another    walk together.  No charge.

Wed 4 July:  At 2 pm in the Village Hall:  Gillian Grinham will talk on “Joyce Grenfell” and entertain us with some of her songs.  Refreshments afterwards.

Wed 18 July:  Summer lunch at 12 noon for 12.30 pm, kindly hosted by Linda at 56           The Street, Barton Mills. Tickets in advance: £2 members and £3 non-     members.  Drinks provided.  Please bring a plate of food to share.

Wed 1 August:   At 2 pm in the Village Hall, Don Hill will give a talk entitled   “Caister Men Never Turn Back” about the history of the Lifeboat Service there.  Refreshments afterwards.

Wed 15 August:  Outing to Beccles and Somerleyton Hall leaving Barton Mills at      10.15 am and returning at about 6.15 pm.  £20 members, £22 non-members.

Wed 5 September:  At 2pm in the Village Hall, Judith Squires will give an illustrated           talk on her visit to Alaska.  Refreshments. Cards will be on sale with       proceeds     to Christian Aid.
